Dealu is situated at 12 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc, in the valley of the Bosnyák şi Balé streams. It is one of the biggest villages in Harghita County as six other villages – Fâncel, Sâncrai, Tămaşu, Tibod, Ulcani, Valea Rotundă - belong to it administratively.

At north from the village, on the volcanic plateau of Laz, at 900-950 m, we can observe a rare geobotanical formation. In May large daffodil fields enrich the landscape of Dealu. These Mediterranean white fragrant flowers spread on an area of more than 50 ha.
