HÍDVÉG is a commune in Covasna County, Romania composed of two villages:
NYÁRASPATAK It is located north-east of Hidvég, and it is inhabited by Romanian people. In the 18th century some Romanian serfs were settled by Count Nemes`s family. The Orthodox church standing in the centre of the settlement was built between 1930-1931, and its patron saints are Archangels Michael and Gabriel. In the quartz mines located in the boundary of the settlement specialist have found valuable remains of mammals that had lived in those parts long ago. |
